Troubleshooting: Common Movie Box Issues
Adding / Removing Subtitles
To remove subtitles, follow these steps:
Icefilm Doesn’t Load
Latest update from 08/30/2015
There’s a known issue for Icefilms not connecting with Kodi. For the time being, use Genesis or Istream, and keep checking back wit Icefilm for further updates.
Clearing the Cache
You can clear the cache under each individual add-on one at a time. Do not clear the cache for Kodi, as this will restore everything back to original factory settings.
USTVnow Not Working Correctly
In some cases, USTVnow isn’t compatible with Kodi. If this is the case for you, try following these steps:
Sound Issues
There are several things you can check for:
If the movie you’re watching is done on a cam
If your HDMI cable is hooked up correctly
If you need a new HDMI cable
If you need to change to a different stream
To increase volume amplification – if the volume is too low on the movie / show you’re watching, try this:
If the sound isn’t syncing up with the action on the screen – if people’s lips aren’t syncing up with their voices, try this:
If you’re watching a live TV show, all you can do is stop, and go back. If you’re not having any luck with that add-on, try a different one to see if that makes any difference.
If you’re watching a streaming show / movie, try using the “Reverse” button. From there it’s very easy to get things synced up again.
Trouble with Genesis
If movies aren’t buffering properly in Genesis, try one of these other, comparable add-ons: 990.ro, 1Channel, Mutts Nuts, Phoenix, DexterTV, Dubstop or Vdubt25. All of their content is similar, so once you find your favorite TV shows, add them directly to your Favorites!

No Audio / Black Screen
Follow these steps if you have any of these issues:
Kodi Won’t Load
Usually this happens because you’ve gotten disconnected from the Internet. So the first thing to try is to navigate to SETTINGS > NETWORK and make sure you’re connected.
If you’re not, shut off your Movie Box, count to 10, and plug it back in to reset your unit.

- Select “Settings”
- Select “Video”
- Scroll down to “Subtitles” (make sure Settings Level is at Expert Level)
- Change the language for subtitles to English, or whichever language you choose

- Navigate to “Home”
- Click “My Apps”
- Click “Browser”
- Enter http://ustvnow.com/gtv
- Click on a show, and a new page comes up to enter your user name and password
- Enter your user name: [email protected]
- Enter your password: xxxxxx
- If you paid the $19 for 28 cannels, make sure you enable Premier Subscription before you enter your user name

- Click OK to bring up the bottom menu that allows you to pause / ff / rewind / stop.
- Click over to the volume icon (little speaker with noise waves), click on that and you’ll be able to increase / decrease the volume. Once it’s to your liking, click the back arrow and un-pause your show.
